ROOMZ Server On-Premise: EOL V1 – Advantages to Update V2
We launched a new version of our On-Premise Server Platform at the beginning of 2020. All functions in the original version 1 from 2015 have been retained, and many new ones added. Feedback from users has been extremely positive. The update delivers many advantages and installation by the end of 2020 is recommended, when the support lifecycle for Version 1 ends.
Yet, in order to update the list of devices, or add new users to your On-Premise environment, you will need to update your On-Premise version to 1.16.

Update the list of devices
Once ROOMZ Server 1.16 is installed, go on http://portal.roomz.io and register your devices
Go to Setup - Global settings - Technical and Tools and choose Download settings (v1)
A *.json file will be downloaded
Log to your On-Premise V1 Server, go to Admin - My Subscription, and choose Import
Your list of devices available On-Premise will be updated
Register new users On-Premise
With ROOMZ On-Premise version 1,16, new users need to be created directly On-Premise, and not on the cloud first for a later importation thanks to the *.json file.
In order to do this, follow these steps:
On ROOMZ Server On-Premise v1, go to Admin - My subscription, turn Notifications on and define a working SMTP Server
Then go to Configuration - My users, Choose New user and define the person's role and email address
The recipient will get an email with an invitation to ROOMZ. He'll be able to create his password and login to the On-Premise portal
