3 - Device Registration

Go to Setup - Devices and click Add new device

  • ROOMZ Display : the Registration Code is on the bottom left of the screen, on a new device

  • ROOMZ Sensor :  the Registration Code (8 characters) is on the back of the sensor, at the bottom of the SILVER label (1 on the picture below). You need this code to register the Sensor.

    • Once registered on your RoomzPortal, the friendly name will be the 6 characters on the side of the sensor (2). This friendly name is also on the board (3) inside the sensor. If you open the sensor, make sure to use the right cover in order to do the correct mapping on your Portal.

Please register all your devices at once

Enter all your registration codes (1) (Display & Sensor), confirm that you have entered all your codes (2) start the registration with “Register the devices” (3):

Once a device is registered, you can give it a Friendly Name, to find it more easily in the system, to do that select one device, select edit and change the Friendly name. Please be aware that the default friendly name of a sensor is printed on the housing and on the board of a sensor, we recommend letting the number in the friendly name, you can then search for the friendly name.
