Roomz Sensor Overview

 

The Roomz Sensor is a versatile device designed to optimize workspace management within your organization. With two primary functions, it continuously gathers data on space utilization while facilitating automated space release, enhancing your organization's efficiency.

Function 1: Space Utilization Data Collection

The Roomz Sensor continually collects valuable data on workspace usage. Equipped with advanced sensors, it detects human presence and compiles this information to provide a real-time overview of the usage of each room or desk. This enables your company to gain insights into how your facilities are used, identify usage patterns, and optimize resource management.

Function 2: Automated Space Release (Exclusive to the Room Sensor)

One of the unique features of the Roomz Sensor is its ability to automatically release rooms when they are not in use. Here's how the automated release works:

 

  • At the beginning of a meeting: The Roomz Sensor always takes measurements at the start of a meeting, remaining vigilant in the room to detect any human presence.

  • Waiting period: During the first 15 minutes of the meeting (this time can be adjusted in the settings), the sensor will not intervene and allows the meeting to proceed as usual.

  • Presence detection: If the Roomz Sensor detects any human presence in the room during the waiting period, it will not disrupt the meeting and will continue to operate normally.

  • Automatic release: However, if no presence is detected during the waiting period, the sensor will automatically release the room. This means the room becomes available for other users, preventing unnecessary and ghost reservations.

Three Types of Roomz Sensors:

 

The Roomz Sensor is available in three versions tailored to different types of workspaces:

  1. Room Sensor: Ideal for meeting rooms, the Room Sensor is the only one capable of performing automated room release. It offers intelligent meeting space management.

  2. Desk Sensor: Designed for individual workstations, the Desk Sensor provides valuable occupancy data to optimize the use of individual workstations.

  3. Huddle Sensor: Suited for huddle or informal collaboration spaces, the Huddle Sensor helps maximize the efficiency of these areas.
