Troubleshooting Sensors

What the colors at the beginning does it mean?

Keep your sensor with lens detector down (ROOMZ logo at the top right) and turn “on” the sensor.

First, both LEDs should blink green → The sensor is starting

In a second time the left LED shows the battery status → Green (good) , orange (2-3 months autonomy maximum) or red (needs to be changed)

Then the red LED shows the connection status → Green (good) , orange (connection to the server failed) or red (connection to the AP failed)

For the next 3 minutes, the LEDs will show if the sensor detects presence or not (you can do the test below).

How to check if me sensor detect presence ?

If a Sensor (Desk, Huddle or Room) always shows as busy, you can do the “box-test”. With this test, you will see if the sensor or the environment of the sensor is the problem.

Remove the sensor and switch it off, after one minute switch the sensor on again, or reset it with a magnet. After a few seconds, the sensor will enter “detection check mode” and show you via the LED if it detects movements. If the sensor is green no movements are detected, if the light is red movements are detected.

For the “Box-Test” put the sensor in the “detection check mode” and place it in a small box:

If there are no movements, the LED should be green:

Seams to working fine

If you now put your hand in the box, the LED should switch to red:

Seams to working fine

If the LED is already red, without movements in or above the box, the sensor may could be broken. If so, open an RMA over the Portal.
