Where does the data come from
The data for this Dashboard comes from the Sensors. We analyse only presence-data on working days between 7:00 until 19:00. Data outside this period is currently not taken into account. We calculate the usage of a workspace per day, if the sensor have times without occupation which are less than 15' we calculate it as occupied for the hole period. (Ex. usage between 8:00 until 9:00 and from 9:10 to 10:00 the usage for this period is 2h / if the break is from 9:00 to 9:20 the usage would be 1h 40')
Organization view
If you have set your Filters, you will be able to see a report like the following. You are able to click on ever bar and the report will change and shows you only the selected data:
You can select the base of the daily % usage calculation.
If you select 1h you see typically which workspace is used daily, so workspaces have over a period of time less than 1h usage per day are not used well.
If you select 10h you can easily see the number of hours per day the workspace is used, ex. a usage of 40% means in average a daily usage of 4h for the selected filters. What is a typical usage for a workspace
In the
weekly profile
you are able to so how different the workspace are used during the week. (The data is aggregated for all day's in the selected period)In this example we see clearly that the office is not well-used around the end of the week.
In the
monthly profile
you are able to see how the usage is over the months. (if you have selected more than one year the date will be aggregated for the months, in the example above we have for Jan, Feb and Marc an aggregation of two years data)In the
selected time period
you are able to see the data over the selected time periodIn the
buildings
, you can compare the selected buildings or floors if you open a building with the+
.It is an easy way to see how the spaces could be used differently on the different buildings or floors.
If you have set tags you will see the differences on the tags here as well.
This is a very nice way to analyse how different teams are use their workspaces.
You are able to open every part of the Report separately by open the details with a right mouse click (select show as a table
):
Now you have a bigger view and the exact number for every section:
Floor view
If you change on top the view to Floor
some parts of the report are change:
On most utilized, you see the 3 most and less used workspaces.
If you have more than one floor in the selection, you are able to switch the floor with the navigation. Also, you can manage the level of zoom.
You see now the view of the data on the floor, you see on one where the different desks are and how they are used.
How will be the data calculated
We collect all the usage for every workspace and every day, then the system is aggregate them based on your Utilization rate and the filters you set.
Two examples with the same date but another rate
Utilization rate = 1h 3 Desks on a floor time period 2 days
Desk 1 was used 3h on day 1 and 1h on day two: Usage day 1 = 100% / usage day 2= 100% / usage overall = 100%
Desk 2 was used 1h on day 1 and 30' on day two: Usage day 1 = 100% / usage day 2= 50% / usage overall = 75%
Desk 3 was not used on day 1 and 30' on day two: Usage day 1 = 0% / usage day 2= 50% / usage overall = 25%
For this example, the overall usage over the 3 desks for the two days is: 66.67% (100% from desk 1 + 75% from desk 2 + 25% from desk 3 / 3)
Utilization rate = 7h 3 Desks on a floor time period 2 days
Desk 1 was used 3h on day 1 and 1h on day two: Usage day 1 = 42.86% / usage day 2= 14.29% / usage overall = 28.56%
Desk 2 was used 1h on day 1 and 30' on day two: Usage day 1 = 14.29% / usage day 2= 7.14% / usage overall = 10.72%
Desk 3 was not used on day 1 and 30' on day two: Usage day 1 = 0% / usage day 2= 7.14% / usage overall = 3.57%
For this example, the overall usage over the 3 desks for the two days is: 14.28% (28.56% from desk 1 + 10.72% from desk 2 + 3.57% from desk 3 / 3)
