Features in detail
Network config
Write the network configuration of your choice on the device. You need to be an Administrator of the company owning the device to do this. You can also install a Radius Certificate if you're using WPA2 Enterprise.
Once the configuration is defined, click "Start writing".
Update Firmware
While the Firmware Updates are provided automatically in the Cloud and can also be triggered over the air for an On-Premise installation, you might want or need to flash your Device using USB.
Just choose "Flash ROOMZ image"
Open the *.bin file provided by ROOMZ and choose "Flash"
Server Certificate
In case you choose to work with a certificate different from the ROOMZ Server Certificate, you can load the Server Certificate.
Open the chosen certificate (*.cer or *.der), and click "Upload", the Server Certificate will be loaded on the Device.
Network diagnostic (only available with 5GHz ROOMZ Displays, and ROOMZ Sensors)
Press "Diagnostic" with a ROOMZ device connected. The device will scan the available Wi-Fi networks around and show the SSID's and signal strength. If one or more SSID's match with the network configuration of the device, he will try to connect to it and show the result of this attempt.
Terminal
Click "Terminal", and choose the COM Port on which the ROOMZ Device is connected, click "Open"
When only one ROOMZ Device is connected to the computer, "AUTO" automatically recognizes your device and connects to it.
You can now monitor the actions of your ROOMZ Device, while using it or testing it.
Exemple: "View-Refresh" - check the connection to the WLAN, etc.
Server check
This feature allows you to check the connectivity to your server, and the compatible Cipher Suites.
(This example shows a test on the cloud server, while this feature is mainly useful for On-Premise environments)
