Changing the battery - Sensors

This example shows a ROOM Sensor, but the steps are the same for DESK and HUDDLE versions.

The batteries of the sensor will last for about 5 years in normal use. The current level of battery can always be checked in the System Health menu of your ROOMZ Portal. When the time comes to replace one of them, go through the following steps.

  • Detach the sensor from its backplate

  • Unplug the battery cable. The battery will slightly stick to the housing of the Sensor, pull on the battery to remove it



  • Remove the sticker's sleeve, plug the new battery in, and stick the battery back in place

 

  • Put the sensor back in place

The sensor will restart and the LED will blink, exactly as when you switched it on.





  • Danger of explosion in case a wrong type of battery is used.

  • Use only specified battery. Battery cannot be recharged. 

  • The battery should be able to be pushed into the housing without pressure. Make sure that the connection cable is not jammed between battery and housing. Never apply pressure to the battery. Do not use deformed or defective batteries. Do not short-circuit the battery, do not expose to fire, water or high temperatures. 

  • Do not throw the battery into the garbage, but return it to the responsible disposal point. The legal regulations for waste disposal must be observe
