Differences between M365 Graph Delegation and Application Permission connectors

Graph delegation:

  • Login with a user (do not need a licence)

  • MFA possible (recommended)

Application Permission (RBAC):

  • Client secret must be renewed every 2 years, if this is forgotten ROOMZ can no longer synchronize calendar data. Microsoft 365 / Exchange Online (FAQ)

  • Currently no MFA possible.

  • Access to all meeting rooms only.

  • New resources automatically added to the Application.

Application Permission (Security group):

  • Client secret must be renewed every 2 years, if this is forgotten ROOMZ can no longer synchronize calendar data. Microsoft 365 / Exchange Online (FAQ)

  • Currently no MFA possible.

  • By default, the Application has full access to every agenda (limited in the process to agendas in the security group).

  • New resources need to be added to the mail enabled security group.
